Re: 70 L46 TCS Wire Clip on Valve Cover and..
Bill,
First the 1969 I mentioned that was at the Sacramento meet. 300hp motor. The vacuum line filter (that is what that white thing is) is off to the far right and on this car was hiding under the distributor shield box. There were no clips because those only went on the cast rocker covers.
Second shot: my 1970 LT1. I had to hold the vacuum line out of the way because it hid the clip under the rocker arm attaching screw.
I doubt you will find any reference to either of these items in the AIM. The tape was put on the vacuum harnesses before they reached St Louis (by the harness vendor, I expect). The clips came as part of the wire harness and were installed by that vendor (Packard Electric). Thus neither item will show in the AIM. I could give you a long dissertation about that tape, but you will have to come to a Regional or National for the Advanced Judging Seminar for that. I can talk faster and show you examples better there. Contrary to what the young folks think the Internet DOES have limitations.Attached FilesTerry- Top

Re: 70 L46 TCS Wire Clip on Valve Cover and..
HI Terry,
Love the pics. I think I found a clipR there any other clips for the TCS wiring?
I would love to meet and talk with you and I too prefer face time to the internet, other than Google. I still prefer a phone call to texting too.
I was going to try to get to the local meet at County Corvette this weekend to experience my first flight judging event.
However, son has baseball all weekend. I am going to shoot for spring. I am still a little reluctant before I have my top replaced. Currently has a poorly done replacement.
Funny thing is I bought my 70 Vert. as a driver. I found it had lots of correct numbers and dates so here I am. It will not top flight for sure and maybe won't even achieve 2nd flight. I want to get it judged to learn as much as I can and go from there.
Thanks!

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter has a fine group of people. Don't be afraid to get your car judged for a base line or punch list. I have found that often the owner is the greatest critic of his own car. Family and work has a way of interfering with the fun.Terry- Top

Re: 70 L46 TCS Wire Clip on Valve Cover and..
HI Larry,
I have seen a third clip on camaros on the rear two position spark plug wire loom. It slides over the loom between the two plug wires.
Just not sure if the clip was used on Corvettes.
Thanks for the pics
