    62 carb tag

    Which screw on the air horn should an early 62 aluminum tag be mounted? Is it oriented inward on the flat deck or outward? A picture of what judges look for would be helpful.

    John;

    I'm assuming you are talking about an AFB. I don't recall where it was on my original 63, and I have seen them all over (front and rear) on 62's, 3's, and 4's, but I have an original replacement 3721SB where I am certain the tag has always been on the back screw driver's side (kinda kiddy korner from the stamping on the right front of the base). Don't know if that is of any help. It's a good question and I hope others will clear it up for us.

      Stuart, Sorry I wasn't more clear. It is a WCFB four barrel. I just got it back from Bob Kunz and forgot.

        John,

        I set my WCFB tag according to Nolan Adams for the 60 & 61 and it is consistent with Stuarts reply that it goes on the back screw drivers side. From your picture, take the 2 screws at the extreme top (narrow section) and use the one on the right.

          The tag on my original 3721SB is on the rear, pass. side screw. It's been there since day 1.

            When my original WCFB's came back from Bob Kunz 13 years ago, the tags were on the driver's side rear air horn screws.
