Hi everyone I am a new mewber and would like to introduce myself.
I am starting on restoring a 1959 corvette that has been in a barn for over 30 years and I have a lot of question, here are a few.

• I will be ordering the CD and magizine from NCRS and thing i need first,
• What will need to be removed from the car to get ready to strip and what is the best method for stripping chemical or blasting..

I have been visting this site for a few days and I ma sure the answner is here somewhere

I would also order the 1958-60 Corvette Restoration Handbook, its available on CD and hardcopy. It is pretty informative on these cars.

Welcome to the NCRS!

It is my belief that it's easier to do a frame off restoration and be able to get at anything easier!

Pull it off the frame and remove everything that is bolted or screwed down.

Lots easier stripping a clean body that going around stuff and taping it off later.

Welcome, from an amatuer restorer, (4-5 vettes) I agree with Joe 100%. There are articles in the archives on how to do this Don't be intimated AND TAKE PLENTY (can't stress enough) OF PIC's. Al
