Seems like we can all benefit from each other. Mine obviously is a convertible based upon the body and VIN in association to Jack's. The hand written job number on my build sheet is 153. And since our cars were on the line so close the same day, maybe it's safe to conclude that the same guy would have written both. I've learned from this forum that the job numbers will match the last three of the VIN or be off by 500. But, it wasn't uncommon for the job's to be off by a few in 1967 based upon other information on this discussion board. So it looks that mine is off by 3. So given Jack's VIN sequence, his job number would be 14 less than mine, or 139. Also, would be curious as to the Ident No., Date Received, and Exp. Date of Production on your build sheet.

    Thanks!
    Tom,
I could in fact read the hand written job number which is 139 as you suggest. Ident No looks like it might be 806708?, but I can't make out dates at all.

    Leonard,
Sorry to hijack your thread. Looks like you got some good advice on determining paint color.

I recently took the glovebox out and looked over the id tags. No evidence that everything isn't original. However doing some searches I discovered a replaced windshield on a correct 67 that had been repainted showed clearly lots of burgundy paint! I need to replace weather stripping in that area so I'm going to try and remove stainless around windshield as well. I'll also chech out the windshield dates to be sure its right.
Any other suggestions on probable areas to look ?

      Thanks, Len Chetti

Len , this is what you would find if you took off trim. My car was maroon and you can see the paint on the birdcage.

There is a 1967 coupe on my photo site that is still metal-flake green with some gold lace added. Photos were taken less than one month ago at a drag race in Ubly, MI. Perhaps someday it will be green again...
