    windshield washer

I have a 1966 that I have just finished restoring and getting it ready for juding on Nov. 5th. I had the wiper motor rebuilt and the windshield washer part didn't work, I ordered a new kit for it and installed. I primed it and it worked until the prime ran out and then stopped. I took it apart again and everything looks ok, I don't want to loose those points, what can I do now, thanks for you help

Are the rubber "Valves" installed correctly? On the vacuum stroke one valve should open while two are closed. On the pressure stroke the opposite will happen. These valves are the small rubber discs in the washer pump cover assy and align with the hose connections

The valves are under the white plastic cap that the hoses attach too. Remove the 4 small screws and inspect the valves for flexibility and possible sticking to the plastic surface. The orientation of the valves will be:

Single rubber disc toward wiper motor
        Dual rubber discs toward hoses

There may be a possibility that the discs were installed in the plastic holder wrong if they don't match the photos

Thanks, I will take it apart again and see if any have stuck ( I didn't think about that) I have it with the intake hose to the front of the car and the two discharge hoses to the rear of the car. Is that right the way it goes? Thanks Terry

Make sure that the feeder hose isn't sucking in air.

I believe your hose orientation is correct. That shouldn't matter in the operation as long as the plastic parts are aligned with one another.
