I'm sorry to hear about the passing of John, I always enjoyed visiting with him at various shows and I used his services many times over the years.

A good guy that did a fantastic job of restoring parts. I was going to contact him about a horn relay this week.
Rest in Peace John! Thanks for your hard work and dedication to quality, a far too rare quality these days.

                Re: John Pirkle, Sr.

to illustrate the honesty and intergrity of john, let me tell a story. i sent John an original 62 voltage regulator i'd bought at kissimmee. i didn't look it over other than to be sure it was an 002E. when i got it back from john, there was a note that indicated the capacitor i'd sent with the 002E wasn't a 1917580 which is appropriate for a 62. John indicated the capacitor i'd sent was a much rarer delco capacitor. he returned the rare capacitor, restored , and supplied a correct for 62 vet 1917580.
i ran into john in the MAC tent at Carlisle 2 months ago---he looked as healthy as ever. we never know. rest in peace John. our condolences to his family.mike

A shock to hear John has passed. A fine person who was an asset to the World. I never had any doubt when sending my pieces to John that they would be done with great pride and correct. Sincere condolences to John's family. John is someone we can all strive to be like.

His passing is a loss to not only family and friends, but community and the automotive hobby family. He had a leadership style that was gently forceful in a way that one wanted to partcipate in the particular endeavor John was nurturing along on any given day. I truly appreciated John on a personal level as well as among those who I looked to for leadership within the Corvette community.
