    67 Starburst removal

Can you give me some hints on the best way to remove the Starburst Caps on the 67 Bolt Ons without bunging up the cap? The screwdriver route puts a small nick in the cap by the access hole. There has got to be a better tool for removing these caps.

    Thanks, Rick

    Rick:

This is what you need. http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net/p-14...ools-3245.aspx

They are made by several companies, KD is one. Available most auto parts stores, or order on-line.

Works very well. It is what I use, and is recommended by many other 1967 owners.

Yup - that's exactly what I use on mine - just stick a rag behind it so you don't scratch the paint, and it pops the caps right off. The screwdriver method is hopeless.

        Larry and John:

Thanks for the great tip. I'll be going to the Tool Store!
