Should my 75 Wiper Motor have the brass strap on the one grommet as pictured in the attached? I made a mistake in buying three identical grommets from a supplier with nothing said about one requiring the strap. I installed them as is. Just recently I saw a set on E-Bay showing the strap. After checking some other wiper motors, I've seen some with and some without the strap? Did those without make the same mistake as I did? Is the strap correct?

Re: Wiper Motor Mounting Grommets
Alger,
I believe the strap was introduced around 69-up time frame when the center bayonet connector on the resistor terminal changed from a double bayonet to a single bayonet. Most repro units (even for the years without straps) come with strap in place, and repair manuals show the strap.
Red arrows in the pic point to the double bayonet style and show the mount without a strap.
