67 Birdcage Green Zinc Chromate Match

I have read post after post after post on green zinc chromate. Anyone find a near perfect match in a rattle can of any brand no matter if zinc chromate/phosphate or not? I can preserve the metal with epoxy, I just want to find a top coat that is the correct color. When I look at my 67 birdcage, it seems to have varing shades of green zinc. I had to remove a piece of birdcage under the door sill plate and the green there was fairly dark due to no exposure to light and probably the true correct green shade I assume. The Z-bar in the car is not exposed to light either and it seems a lighter green..maybe because of a light coat of spray. Pictures attached for your humor. The Mar Pro paint I got at a marine store and seems to match the brake line clips I have with original paint, but I assume the clips were not painted in the factory where the birdcages were. I have tried several other paints too plus looked at several on line including Tempo. Suggestions and comments welcomed. Gary

Gary, I have had good results with a product from 5 Star. Its called Aero Pro and is a self-etching primer. The part number is #5915. I would spray a test panel to see if the color is what you want.

Let me mention another manufacturer....Nason, paints and primers. They're a sub-catagory of Dupont. Most paint stores should they have Dupont will carry Nason. You would be looking for their self etching primer.

I couldn't find any. I used the olive drab green colored ZnCrO4 and then had paint color matched to go over it.
