    67 power steering

I have a 67 convertible 327-300hp 61,ooo miles ps,4 spd. My ps is not real easy to turn, I know that its not going to be like my new car, so is this normal for mid years? Belt is tight no leaks. I owned this car for almost 10 years. Not real hard to turn but not real easy. thanks George

    George,

Does the 67 turn better when the engine is reved up. In other words will it turn better at 2000RPM than it does at 700RPM?

1963-82 Corvette power steering is not full power steering; it is a "power assisted" manual steering system. Consequently, it will not feel as easy to steer as an integral power steering system. However, it does provide a lot more "road feel" than a full power steering system; I'm pretty sure that's why it was used in the first place.

If your system has DEGRADED in performance, though, that means that you have some component problem.

You let the cat out of the bag, Joe! Example: I'm having a heart attack! Ask, did you eat the whole pizza by yourself??? Get the technique?
