Why do Some Members Never Appear to be Online Even When They are?

I've noticed that members like Dick Whittington, Duke Williams and a few others never have their little green "online" light on, even when you can see they're actively participating in a thread.

Just curious.

With seniority comes undercover status ! Seriously though, I believe there is an option in the control panel that allows us to select invisible mode. Perhaps that is how it's done.

Did not think anyone would ever notice that. I have been online almost continiously, 24 hours a day, since about 2004 Computer is almost never turned off.

Seriously, Dick you were the first profile that I noticed this on, and initially I thought it was because you were a moderator. But then I noticed other moderators had their light on when online.

Despite Tom's joke, I was starting to think it was some sorta super-secret society!

There's the old expression 'the lights are on, but nobody's home'. Dick appears to be the opposite. Not quite sure what that means.
