Memorial for Ferge at Sacramento Regional

On October 8th, 2011, at 1630 hours, a very special Missingman memorial flyover, at the judging field, will take place. The event will honor Lt. Col David L. Ferguson (Ferge to all his friends). Dave had a passion for cold beer and fat cigars. Both will be availabe at the cite. A donor delivered 25 very big
cigars that came from an Island that many have never traveled to. The flyover will take place in two segments. The first will be an honor flight, and the second will be the missing man formation. Dave's 55 Corvette will be present for a PV. Jeff Reade and Mike McCloskey, have spent many hours in repairs, and parts, so Dave's last wish to Mike could be realized. Present at the memorial will be Dave's daughter, Teri. We hope many will be at the location to send Ferge off our way.

To all of Ferge's friends and those who were looking forward to the Missingman Flyover. The director of the Missingman Foundation just called me and told me the FAA has grounded all formations that had planed to flyover a populated area. The reason they gave, was the accident that occured a week ago, at the Reno Air Races. Sounds like Big Brother is at it again. The planes we were going to observe were slow movers not 500mph+ racing rigs. Oh well, we gave it a try. The money colected for the flyover will be donated to those that incurred costs in preparing Daves 55 Corvette for the PV. The beer and cigars will still be available, unless the EPA bans cigar smoke within 500 feet of any Corvette. The story continues.

well for crying out loud Ed ! All formations that fly over populated areas are grounded ? Right!@ I'll bet they are. What a crock that is....
