Vinnie; Thanks much for my replacement copy of the Restorer you sent me. It arrived on Tues. (Nov. 15), the same day I finally received my copies of the Driveline and Restorer that were mailed out around Sept. 15th. I really enjoyed reading the article of you building your own engine. What an experience that must have been ! After speaking with Gary Mortimer on Monday, he said there were lots of problems with the delivery of issues to the Canadian Members. I guess they are mailed out separately with a private carrier (not USPS) to Canada and then distributed from there. It sounds like this is where the problem is. The distributor must be letting the issues sit around a few weeks before mailing them out. I'm not sure how it works out cost wise, but I'm sure that just mailing the issues to Canada by USPS we would get them sooner than 30 days. Just a thought. Keep up the great work Vinnie,Eric and Gary, we truely do have the best magazines in the business ! Thanks again, Jim Kish #1845

Many thanks for sending me a backup copy of the Restorer. I greatly appreciated seeing it today and look forward to a good read.
Still no sign of the original Driveline/Restorer, now almost 2 months overdue.

As Chairman of the Ontario Chapter I have received several emails regarding late deliveries of the Driveline and Restorer. For some reason this mailing has been particular bad. I sent out a broadcast email at the end of October to our members and received 31 replies of missing Drivelines and Restorers. As of today about half of those members finally received them, which still leaves about 15. If these were all mailed out on Sept 15 as everyone has claimed, then everyone should have them by now even with snail mail. Cincy blames Canada Post for a strike that was 6 months ago, and now seeing that many of the US members are in the same boat. I don't have the answer, but some need to look into the distribution process at origin. I may be the distributors that are messing up.

A lot of overseas members have seen long delays in the delivery of their Driveline / Restorer Magazines. Due to postal strikes and other issues this is unavoidable.




DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The labor unions have called for a 24-hour nationwide strike beginning today, November 14th. Demonstrations and disruptions will likely be largest in Santiago, Santo Domingo, La Vega, and Navarrete. Delays possible.

AUSTRALIA
Some delays reported at Sydney Airport on November 11th may have resulted in service delays of 2-3 days.

I guess that I'm just a little bit curious about how many folks - like me - are getting the Driveline ON LINE before I receive a copy? Shippimg supposedly occurs on September 15 - it's now the 26th............nothing by mail.....

I have NEVER received the Driveline before it went online (we are already lucky it gets online in the first place)

John, I would like to set the record straight regarding the Canadian postal workers strike.
The Canadian Postal workers went back to work on June 27, which was approximately 140 days ago.

The postal workers have been given the following increases in wages.

Demanded Given by the back to work order
2011 1.9 per cent 1.75 per cent
2012 1.9 per cent 1.50 per cent
2013 1.9 per cent 2.0 per cent
2014 2.0 per cent 2.0 per cent

It looks like a fairly good settlement to me

Many of our Canadian NCRS members receive other car club newsletters. I receive three other car club publications from the US without any difficulties. I receive my regular mail in a timely fashion.
I noticed that the Nov-Dec issue is in the mail and online.
Lets' hope that our Driveline returns to a normal delivery schedule
