Re: 1956 Original cars at Novi
Dan;
The Red 56 Bowtie car was mine. Neither of the 56's there had the correct Wing Nuts including mine. They are correct that Roy has the
Specs on the correct ones. They are extremely hard to find as they were the first thing to be replaced.
Good luck in your search. If you come upon a gross or two of them, please let me buy a couple.
Good Collecting

Re: 1956 Original cars at Novi
very common and not very expensive. go on ebay and look under corvette wing nut. they are the wing nuts for 63-82 corvettes. vendors sell them for $3.95 and $3.99. i have purchased several and they are the size of a dime. my came from vendor ricks102.- Top

Re: 1956 Original cars at Novi
Dave,
Slightly off topic, but those pictures look a lot like the wing nut on my 1970. I have pictures in my camera, but it is past my bed time, and C3 stuff is not germain to this thread anyway.Terry- Top

Re: 1956 Original cars at Novi
Terry, check yours with a dime as Dave Smith shows in his photo. The 63 & up wing nuts look very similar, unfortunately they're larger. Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter

Re: 1956 Original cars at Novi
John and Terry,
Thanks. Will have to order 1 each and check the size.
Some Chrysler application wing nuts have a base a tad bit smaller than a dime, but the wing width and height aren't correct.
Post the dimensions if you have one of their wing nuts available.
