1978 Corvette Drive Axle

This may seem a sill question
I can't find a drain plug on my rear diff and want to review the oil
How do you empty it and what's the fill level.
I tried to look up in shop manual but as normal no mention of how!

There is only one way in and one way out with the diff in place. Pump the oil out of the fill hole and refill to spec through the same hole !

Yes, and don't let anyone talk you into just loosening the cover bolts to let it drain. If you do that, you'll end up having to replace the cover gasket to stop the incessant leak you'll have thereafter. And, replacing the cover gasket means you have to remove the carrier from the car.
