Hello,
Now that I've run the 111156 distributors from my '66 and '67 L79's on my Sun Distributor machine, I see how far off the centrifical advance curves are....
I'm looking for correct weights and springs to acheive the proper curves.
I understand that Chevy distributors 1111483 and 1111490 both use the same weights (1881371) and springs (1951743) that the 1111194, 111156 and 1111196 distributors use.
Does anyone know if there are other distributor p/n's (preferrably non-Corvette) using these same weights and springs?
Any similar info concerning the mainshaft would also be useful. If I can't find any used distributors with the correct mainshaft, I'll be foreced to buy reproduction parts from the normal sources. (Both of my distributors now have the '153 stamped shaft/top cam that previous threads indicate is not correct.)
Thanks in 'advance', for any help!
Bob
