    1953 hubcaps?

    I know very little about 1953 Corvettes; what's the story on the hubcaps? Did any leave the dealership with "baby moon" hubcaps?

    Edit: Why is the chrome strip down the side of the car different?

      Not baby moons - the first 30 or so got regular production Bel-Air hubcaps. Assembly line pic is a regular production 53. Second pic looks like a Motorama car clone.

      If you do not have a copy, purchase Noland Adams' Restoration and Technical Guide Volume I (53-62) and Volume II (63-67). Excellent reading.
