    C! Parking Brake Cable Boot

I could not find the boot in the 1960 AIM. What do I remove and from which end to replace the two rubber boots?

You have to unscrew and remove the nuts from the forward ends of the cables. The boot will then slip over the threaded stud. I would strongly advise coating the inside of the boot with something like silicone to make it easier for the large threaded end to go through that tiny hole in the boot. Just be gentle getting the threaded end through the hole and it will be fine.

Good tip Tom. I will probably warm up the siliconed boot with a hair dryer (carefully) to make it more pliable. A couple of weeks ago when my garage temp was 98, no need to add extra heat to the boots!

I measured the location of the nut from the end of the threaded bolt so that I can re-install it at the same point on both sides.
