1966 Battery small block non air car

a couple of questions regarding a battery.

Where is the best place to get an acid filled delco "original" battery?

What do people soak the felt that goes over the positive post in?

Battery tender....is the a good tender out there that hooks up to "spring ring" cables....the ones I see in catalogs that have the knob on top to twist on and off don't seem to be compatable unless I'm missing something

    thank you,
    Rick

    Rick -

The felt washer was saturated with hypoid gear lube.

By "battery tender", do you mean a battery disconnect switch? There are two versions for top-terminal batteries - one has the "green knob", and the other is a knife-type switch; both work fine with spring-ring cable ends. Paragon (and others) have them.

      Rick,

You can get the battery disconnect at NAPA, I prefer the knife type because it gives a visual indication. Here's what I think is the best battery tender, since it desulfates and charges:

By the way, you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
