Body drop '62
Is there any specific sequence to tightening the body mounts during a body drop for a '62?
How do you level the body and determine how many shims to use?

As far as how many shims, you'll have to determine that from how the body sits on the frame. I would start with one set and adjust from there. The real reason for my reply is to insure that you do not tighten any of the bolts before every thing is set and aligns properly. My biggest mistake was securing the body before I set the radiator supports and fan shrouds 3 piece assembly.
So. Align the body; set the radiator support; place radiator shroud; check to see if you need any additional shims; tighten all bolts. -

Don't forget to hang the doors and check the gaps.
Shims are critical for correct alignment.Comment
