'68-73 Tailight/backup Lens Screw Finish

I've seen 68-73 tailight and back-up lenses with different screw platings. Some chrome, some black oxide and still others with a combination of black on bottom-chrome on top! Any thoughts?

My original owner 1968 has chrome and my original owner 1970 has black.

Seems to me they changed from chrome to black during 1969 or from 1969 to 1970. I am pretty sure there is something in the 1968-69 and 1970-72 TIM&JG about it.

My end of first month of production 1970 are black.

The 68/69 TJM states that chrome screws were used both of those years.

My '69 (Oct '68 ) has the original lenses and the original chrome screws.
