    Powerglide Question

    I started to remove the final side cover on my 1960 PG, the vacuum modulator cover plate, but after removing 15 bolts, it would not release. It is loose and separated from the tranny body by 1/8", but feels like a spring is holding the cover to the parts behind the cover. I don't want to break any parts by prying the cover off.

    Suggestions on how to remove the cover?
