I have heard that back in the day in the 60's that some big block intakes where made to adapt the Rochester FI unit 63-65 to it. I am interested in any info, pictures, details, part numbers or what ever you have on this manifold. Birch

Re: Big block FI intake manifold
I've never seen one or, prior to your post, heard of one. I have no information that there was ever a GM, SERVICE-available manifold to adapt a Rochester FI to a big block. So, if such a piece ever existed it would have been a GM experimental type piece or something that someone came up with in the aftermarket.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Big block FI intake manifold
Bob;
The follow on F.I. design (post 65) may have been under development to include the BB engines. A noted Chevy man on the west coast bought all the experimental prototype hardware after the contract for development was cancelled.
I'll shoot him an email and see if he has any of the pieces or info about them and contact you. He is not an NCRS member or fan.

There are pictures of BB experimental units in Ken Kayser's book on page 441.1964 Red FI Coupe, DUNTOV '09

Yup, I remember that Yunick had at least one or two of those BB/FI adapters. Didn't one sell at the last Yunick auction? I think there were a few more floating around somewhere too.- Top
