    C2 bumper thickness

Does anyone know the actual correct thickness of the C2 original bumpers (vs older repos or service replacement measurements). I've heard .111,.125 and .130" as correct original thickness
    Thanks, Ken

Original C2 bumpers I have are - .116, .113, .104, . 098 measured in various spots. Best way to determine is to ask if anyone has the print! that will have a spec.

There are 4 versions of these that I know of.
          1. Originals
          2. Service parts - that I and others purchased in the 1975 - 1980 time frame and from which my measurements are taken from multiple parts out of boxes or cars where the parts are still on the car and I still have the receipt and the parts on the car from the day they were purchased directly from the GP PD central depot in Flint MI. These are notoriously with ripply metal, more than the originals and sandy chrome.
          3. Then around 1988, as I have written here before, GM SP retooled these - third revision.
          4. The repro's and those tools are/were sitting...in MI. From there there very well could be others that have tooled these up.

They did not last long so unless you bought the car new, you won't know for sure.
