68 wiper over-ride lamp wire color

I am trying to determine for certain the color of the wire(s) to the socket holding the wiper over-ride lamp on a 68.

My search through the archives uncovered a post indicating that there is only one wire to that socket and it is black. Other posts on related matters left me unconvinced. The wiring diagram in the AIM does not show that socket/lamp.

Would someone be good enough to check a car or old wiring harness and confirm? Thank you.

Hi Henry,

I went to the garage and check my doc rebuild wiring diagram and it does not have it. My '68 is # 6412 and does not have that feature. Sorry I am no help to you.
