      Michael,
Note that the picture that Tom posted is of a Shelby looks to be '71 to '73 were the link that Ron just posted is of a '69.

There may have been a few made for different model years; but like in the post, still a bit rare or "rare-bit" (enough of the ***** jokes).

The car Connie got was a '69 GT500, the '70 was the last year, until just recently, of Shelby Mustangs. The '70s were really just left over '69s they re-VINed to sell (they were not selling well by then so were dropped) and had stripes on the hood where the NACA scoops are, if you an see them in the picture without being drawn to those hood ornaments , OK no more jokes. But Connie's Shelby was the ONLY pink Shelby ever made, and some Shelby purists (we NCRS folks know about them) would argue it wasn't originally pink since the color code for the car carried a "Pastel Gray" code. Actually the gray was a primer painted at AO Smith (remember them), since they couldn't do the Ford Playboy Pink code there, it was sent somewhere else for that, and that is also still in dispute among the Shelby experts.

There were numerous production pink Mustangs starting in 1967, and a few special order ones starting in 1964 1/2, Donna Michelle's Hef gift. They had probably 3-5 different shades of pink over the years, luckily a pink Corvette was never made for those Playmates of the Year, or you would all be looking for it too . But there were two Corvettes given to the POYs, wonder where they are?
