    Preserving unused seat covers

Just bought a used set of cashmere 08 sport seat covers in excellent condition for a spare set.
Wondering the best way to preserve them.
They have been gently cleaned, (they werent dirty)
Should they be wrapped or covered in some way?
They will probably be stored in my unheated attic in New York.

I'd just put them in a pillow case or wrap them in some sort of cloth that will breathe and put them in box. Should be fine.

Those are made from plastic coated leather (yes, really) and vinyl. I would suggest to you that the Summer temperatures in your unheated attic are not conducive to long term storage of those seat covers. If you can find a way to store them in a closet in a part of the house you live in that would IMO be best.

One sign of a true cigar lover is a humidor in his house. Will vintage Corvette lovers now migrate in this same direction toward having a proper storage area, climate controlled, in their house for their spare Corvette parts?

          I agree 100% with Terry.
Summer attic temps will ruin those covers.

I agree with Terry and Bob. Temps and humidity too high or too low will destroy upholstery. I have original soft pieces from '57 and '61 that are still pliable and usable because they were stored inside. The same with some hard pieces. 'have to prevent these parts from drying out and also molding.

Dan, You might have enjoyed being party to some of the semi-public paint discussions a few of us (no names to protect the guilty) had at regionals in the Spring and continuing on into the National. Please consider the damage sunlight will do to paint and interior components while in storage. We saw Bowtie cars with faded paint on one side and the owner admitted that side had been toward the windows in the storage building. Your Corvette doesn't need windows while in storage. Cover them over for security and to minimize damage to the car(s). I doubt your cigars would like the sunlight either.

                Thanks all,
They will be wrapped seperately in pillow cases and put in a closet with nothing on top of them
