Well it has been 42 years , one 48 state trip, and one trip to Novi, and my rear end, the one that comes into the house with me, can not sit in my tired old seats anymore
I do not want to do the job myself, as my hands do not work like they used to , and frankly , I don't think I can do a good job.
So , I want to send them out to a seat vendor. I have two in mind, but look for your comments.
If any of you have done it before, let me know who you used and how you packed your seats etc.
I just finished the suspension, new ball joints, shocks, u-joints, bushings, springs. New PS valve, hoses etc
The car now handles like a new 66 corvette, that is the good news, the bad news is , it handles like a new 66 corvette
just kidding....... with all this new stock stuff, the car handles great, nice and tight, reliable with a soft comfortable ride. These cars are great driving cars if you understand that it is not a modern car.
Only seats, new top and windshield and the car is good to go for 30 or 40 thousand miles before I have to start again. My engine rebuild (2010) (original engine with 200,000 plus miles) already has 30,000 miles on it, and it is running like a clock. All stock and starts every time so far.
I am still looking at Europe for a trip next year. Need to juggle things time wise , plus a lot of logistics to deal with.
Fall is here and a great time to be driving your cars, so get driving
and thanks for the seat vendor comments
