    Cleaning Bonding Strips

I have some bonding strips that I would like to clean up before reusing. I will clean the bonding side with 40 or 80 grit, but would like to media blast the "show" side to remove paint, stains, etc.. Has anyone tried this and if so, what worked best? I was thinking sand or plastic, but maybe something else would work better. Chip.

How long are they Chip? If they are not over about 46" I can soda blast them for you in my cabinet.

Thanks Dick, Is that what you would recomend? I have a cabinet as well and am planning to add the soda attachments. I've not tried soda blasting before and am not familiar with what to expect for results. We'll see! Chip.

Chip, I love the soda on soft parts, brass, fiberglass, etc. No visible changes to the surface, just clean. I bought the TP soda blast add on for my 960 cabinet.

Watched a blaster do a '67 vert. They did not remove chrome, glass, anything other than bumpers and emblems. Slick as a new born baby's butt.

What's in the add on kit, Dick?

I always thought that soda needed a pressurized tank rather than siphon.

It is an add-on syphon tank. Will hold 25-50# of soda. Has a hose extension to add to the syphon hose in your blaster. I do not add more than I think I will use at a time.

              Thanks, Dick.
Everything I've seen has a pressure tank.
If I can ask, where did you get the tank?
