Reproduction Headlight Bezels for my 1960

The headlight bezels on my 1960 need to be replaced. I believe they are a later service replacement and are pitted. Rather then spend money to have these rechromed since they are not originals anyway, I'm thinging of getting some repros from Paragon.

Has anyone used the reproductions on their 58-60? how was the quality and fit?

I did a search and didn't find much.

    Thanks,

    Don

I had my re-chromed. A older GM parts is still better than a re-pro

Who did your chroming? I've checked and the ones I've checked with want $150-$180 each to re-chrome. I don't have originals, mine are casting 3779239 which are supposed to be for 61-62, but mine are chromed and do not have the holes for the top piece of trim.

If I hunt for and buy decent pair of OEM casting 3742509 then have them re-chromed I'll have $500 in headlight bezels. That is hard to do especially if the repros are good quality and fit for $150 a pair.

          Don,

Heres what I did as I was completing my frame off on my 71

Check the return policy from the vendor you are considering, if they will take them back you can try them to see how you like them. You will be amazed how much guess work and stress can be eliminated.
However you will have to pay shipping round trip but that was not that big of a deal on the small stuff.

          Good luck!
