    Headlight Vacuum Relays

    Hi

I am after some guide on how the headlight vacuum relays should mound on a may 1971 vette.

When i took them off they were just pop riveted to the metal support bar between the headlights.

The AIM shows a plate that they should mount to that is then mounted to the bar but I dont have one nor does there appear to be signs that one was mounted previously.

The holes in the bar do not match those shown in the AIM diagram. there is just 4 holes that would appear to be 2 for each relay.

If they are to just bolt directly to the bar what orientation would they go in.

Any photos or info on how it should look would be greatly appreciated.

The relays bolt to the plate as described in the AIM. The plate bolts to the support in the nose of your car. You'll need to acquire that mounting plate to correctly attach the relays. I don't believe they're reproduced, so you'll have to locate an original.
