WAGNER Thermo Quiet disk brake pad REBATE

FWIW while researching some new brake pads for my 65 I noticed that WAGNER is offering a $15.00 per pair, $30.00 for F & R pad replacement REBATE on their "Thermo Quiet" series until the end of this month.

It looks like I need the MX8 ones for my car.

Does anyone have any good or bad experiences with these brake pads?

Joe L. do you know anything about these?

    Thanks in advance.

Jimmy no experience with the Wagner Thermo Quiet. Have seen the advertisement for the pads in auto parts store circulars/web sites. The pictures show that the actual touching pad design/shape is different from their standard standard issue for disc brake C2's and C3's. Really nice rebate from Wagner. For those that still use Prestone anti-freeze they have a rebate for as much as $15.00 for 2 gallons.

Jim-- I put them on the wife's Pontiac Grand Prix GTP along with new rotors. They worked great, and were a lot better than the OEM pads. However, I put them on our '96 LT4 Corvette, and when I tracked the car at the Corvette World Tribute at Road America, Elkhart Lake Wisc. I got brake fade on the 8th lap! I have Baer calipers, and 13" Eradispeed drilled and slotted rotors on the car. I have since learned that is not the ideal setup for road racing. I guess you could say, they're fine for the street, but not so much for the track.

Thanks Jake for your input. My car is an auto with ac so I doubt there will be any road racing involved.
