Re: 1992 Zr1
I want to verify if it is a 375 or 405 hp because I heard that some late production engines were 405 in 92. I tried to see the serial number but it is hidden by the alternator and motor mount. If I had the build document I would think it would show the serial number- Top

Peter, why pay Heckler's $19.99 when you can get it from the NCRS store for $16.00?Last edited by Dick W.; September 2, 2011, 12:55 PM.Dick Whittington- Top

Re: 1992 Zr1
I have the original widow sticker but it doesn't list the HP of engine. Also I removed the tank sticker from the car gas tank and it doen't list the engine serial number or HP either.
Thanks- Top

I don't think the Black Book has the information needed in this case.Tom Hendricks

Re: 1992 Zr1
I have no information that any 1992 ZR1's were equipped with 405 HP engines. However, that doesn't mean it did not happen. Easy to check, though: look for the engine identification number which is found on the left (driver) side of the engine on the lower block rail, just above the oil pan.
If the suffix code "ZAA" is found, then you have a 375 HP version of the LT5 engine. If the suffix "ZVC" (or, some other non-ZAA suffix) is found, then you have the 405 HP version. I'm betting you'll find a "ZAA".In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
