I have an NOS GM service reverse light switch for my 67 4 speed Muncie Transmission. I also have a reproduction version. Both interfere with the (original) muncie when installed as shown in the AIM. In other words, the two wires and the molded grey covering hit the side of the trans, well before the two small attaching bolts are tight.
I assume it should be installed the other way (wires out) and that I am reading the AIM wrong. Am I right?
Also, does the lever with the hole for the "wire link" to the reverse shift arm point up or down? THANKS!
P.S. Can't seem to find much about this in the archive. I can provide part numbers and a photo if needed.
