1969 Model Year Window Stickers.
Does anybody have an original 69 window sticker from a 1968 calendar year build? I am curious about pricing and options. Although headrests were not mandated until January 1 1969, virtually all 1969 corvettes came with headrests. Did the window sticker for early 1969 cars show a lower base price and then list the A82 Headrests as a $17.95 option? Most sites list the 69 base price as $4781.00. Did the base price change during the model year? My 1969 brochure shows headrests as standard equipment and I believe that all dealer order forms for the 69 model year did not list A82 as an option.

A window invoice for an early '69 (vin 3013) convertible lists the head restraints along with the other options, price shows $17.99. -

So does anyone know the exact base price for the 1969 Coupe when it was introduced in late 1968? (my vin is 3676) I'm assuming it was $4763.00.
Just for info, I did find a copy of a window sticker for vin 4294, a convertable, listing base price as $4420.00 and showing the 2A82ZF Head Restraints option priced at $17.95. (could be a repo though)Comment

A copy of a window sticker from a 1969 Corvette convertible built in very late January, 1969 can be found in the "Vette Vues Fact Book". It shows no headrest option. So, at least by that time, the "option" had been dropped in favor of standard equipment.
By the way, the base price of Corvettes changed at least once during the 1969 model year.In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment
