67 Corvette Steel Valve Cover Bolts 327

Trying to stay w/original design but having difficulties with different descriptions from suppliers vs NCRS. NCRS states that these bolts should be hex-head bolts w/ a TR head mark. Some suppliers indicate a HM of RBW and some say RBW with a recessed center. Ex: would be Long Island vs Paragon. What is the correct bolt design? Thank you as I could not find this answer in the latest 300 threads. AB

Alan,

I believe on my 67 300hp engine the steel valve cover bolts are approx 1/2" long and have a L in the hex. They are not indented hex, it's a finished hex of 7/16" wrench size.

RBW generally 66 67, perhaps TR for late 67 into 68.

and the repro's all of them are no way even close.

Off the beaten path, I found a stash of them though, P's, L's, RBW's, and TR's.

Sweet originals, not plated and the paint sticks to them like it did at the factory

Thanks for your response. Apparently there are two sizes of the TR's again according to the repo catalogs. Are those that you have the large or small print?
