    1965 Emergency Brake Cable Removal

I have removed the e-brake cable from my 65 trailing arms but I am having trouble removing the cables from the ears on the crossmember (same one where the rear end snubber mounts). Is there a trick to this, I can find no clips to remove.

    Any help appreciated.

    Jim -

Both sides should have the U-shaped stamped sheet metal retainer clips at those ears (similar to the clips used to secure the front brake hoses to the frame); see the Assembly Manual, UPC 5, sheet C2, View "C", item #34.
