    69 427-435 HP crank pulley

What is the correct crank pulley for my august 8th of 69 built 435HP car? Is it cast iron or stamped steel? What part #? I have a stamped steel 2 groove pulley #346300AA that came with the car but have no idea if it's for this car or not. Thanks! Jeff

First of all, your current GM #346300 is absolutely not correct for your application. It did not even exist when your car was built. It was used for 1975-77 Corvettes with C-60.

For 1969, Corvettes with big block used one of two pullies. Early used a stamped steel pulley of GM #3921923. Later used a cast iron pulley of GM #3863108. Just when the change occurred, I have no idea. However, I expect that a car built as late as yours would have used the 3863108. It's available in reproduction but it's expensive. The 3921923 is still available from GM for about 50 bucks, GM list. The two pullies are functionally interchangeable.
