1961 FI Gas Filter

Iam sorry for asking this question, but my track record is overtighten & snap the plate on the gas pump side.

What is the best way to install the cannester filter to eleminate leaking?

Hi Wille, Hopefully JD will chime in. He recommended Loctite 545 in one of my previous posts. It can be found on Ebay.

I use the two wrench method - one on the filter (5/8 I think) and one on the gas line fitting (9/16 flare nut wrench). Get them fairly close and sqeeze together. Good luck, Don H.
