Sounds great Doug, those all belong to that nice car! I'd have done the same without hesitation!

Drove the 64 over 5000 miles to three Regionals and the San Jose National, one dust storm and 40 lbs of bugs!

      Doug,
I think $1000 was a lot of money, but I would have paid it too, with fingers crossed the docs are originals. If what you got is righteous, and not faked, you should be very pleased, and forget about the price. $1500 was an outrage, but $1000 was more realistic and having those docs reunited with your original 64 fuelie is priceless. Congratulations.

ps. what goes around comes around. Maybe one day someone will hold your seller hostage for an outrageous sum of money for something he dearly wants. One can only hope.

          Doug,

I think you did fine, and now the documents are reunited with the 'vette.

            Doug,
It is your money and decesion and if it makes you happy then that's what it's all about. I would have done the same thing.

Ditto here, A complete set or original documents on YOUR car is worth far more than that to you! Great find!

                Doug

I think you made a good decision! I have all the original docs with my car and think in this day of faked cars, paperwork is very important.

Glad you got them bought at a number you felt was worth it. That's all that matters. Nice job !

Don't make the mistake of telling Original Owners what the (RARE) cars are worth today, even as projects.
Customer told Orig Owner what he paid for a project L78 and the OO being in real-estate made him pay 3% of the current purchase price... which was more than the Window Sticker and more than originally paid for the car!
