dose anybody know what kind marks the factory made in the engine for the 78 pace car

It would be helpful if you were specific with your question regarding marks on the engine for a Pace Car. do you mean stamped metal, tags, paint? And it would be the same for any 78 year Corvette.

I agree with Tom. What marks are you looking for or what have you found? You will almost certainly find the job number on it in a couple of places.
