i am in teh process of correcting teh point deductions from s recent chapter juding . One of the deeucts was for teh color of he dipstick on a 65 small block 327/300. what shoudl it be the manual says nothing on color only on the dimple.

The original one in my 65 L75 is painted semi-gloss black (as is the tube) and has a black plug in the end of the hoop. No dimple. -

The 1965-1967 dipsticks (GM # 3739830) are stamped "ADD", "FULL", "ENGINE OIL", and "M" on the stick part. The dipsticks made in later years have different stampings.
