    1960 Speedometer cable

Can the inner portion of the cable be removed from the tranmission end cleaned lube and reinstalled. For the life of me I cannot find a procedure in any of my books. I hope you do not have to remove the cable from the car (winter project if so).
    Thanks
    Phil

The cable can only come out from the front by the speedo.

      Larry,
I guess this is a winter project as we are heading on a journey across state on Friday. I can barely hear it over the sound of the exhaust anyway and it does not jump around.
      Thanks for your input.

It's a pretty easy job if you remove the seat and steering column cover for better access, don't fret it. Dan
