The trim tag on this 69 looks ok, but I question the rivets and would like some comments if they are or are not correct. Thanks.

In some cars I have looked at I have noticed that the rivets have a small hole completely through in the center. In the picture I posted, note that there is only a shallow hole in the center. I did not know if this center hole would provide any indication with respect to being original or not.- Top

If the hole appears "shallow", that means that the mandrel has not been expelled. This is fairly common with these trim plate rivets. If you press on it with a pin-like instrument, it will fall out the rear.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
