    63 paint code question

I am in the process of getting ready to start the painting of my 63 corvette riverside red, And noted that the color on the can states Roman Red but the GM code on the can is correct, Is this possible that it is the correct color, And a on line search shows that this color has the same code from 59 to 64 Roman Red and Riverside Red. thanks for your reply Ed .

You are very lucky. Most of the time it will require tinting.

I used PPG concept acyrlic Urathane and I got the code and formula from a fellow TDB member(Ken Schurr). which worked out great. and was glad to the that the mix was correct.I had been thinking about a lacquer paint then decided to use the single stage urathane, a local chapter member has restored many corvettes and thats what he uses to have that lacquer look.

Yes, Ken was involved, It did concern me yesterday when I looked at the printed label and saw the mixing co. had put Roman Red on it.
