    67 S/B Head casting number

Can someone tell me approximately when in 1967 did the 327/300 head with the following casting number begin to appear 3917291. The head I am researching has a date of E167

    Thanks
    Howard

    Howard,

I think somone changed the heads because the 300 had 461 (last 3 numbers) I think?

The heads should have the double hump on the ends.

You will get the story here when the #'s guys chime in.

      Howard -

I think they started showing up in March-April; my early June car has May 26th 291's.

          Howard,

I agree with John based on Alan Colvin's book (March-April 1967). The heads used previous to the 3917291 heads were the 3890462 heads.
