    Re: 69 orange overspray

Hi Jean, there is plenty of overspray on the manifolds and bell housing. PS, your car was built 10 days after mine.

        Hi Jean,
My 68 L68 bell housing was very similar to the posted pic- very orange.
As I understand it, the intake and exhaust maifolds were mostly free of overspray vs. prior years. 68 intake manifolds were "masked" to keep orange off surface. For now I have kept the exhast mainfolds free of overspray as well and can easily add that detail later.

Mark, is yours the same number? And what does that number mean?

              Thanks, Chris

Mine is missing. I believe that tag number indicates what tranny/rear gear ratio is intended for a particular vehicle.

What gear ratio does your L71 have? My 69 is an L89 with with a 4.11 rear gear and I'm trying to figure out which tag I need.

                  Interesting. Mine is an M21/4:11.
