      Bill,

What is the stamped "code" on your AP373V flasher? It starts with the letter "H". I have had the following: "H362", "H119", and "H661", The "H362" was from a 1962 Chevrolet Impala. I have been trying to decode the AP373V flasher for many years. I also have a case of 10 NOS "AP373S" flashers all stamped "H112".

Your ZN332 flasher should have a date code.

      Dave

        Dave,

        The AP code is H862
No code on the ZN...only two Pat. numbers, made in USA and Signal - Stat, Brooklyn, NY

        Hope this helps.

          Re: TUNG-SOL Flasher

          Bill,

I will add the "H862" code to my list for future study.

Your "ZN332" flasher must be an older version. The NOS "ZN332" flasher in my photo was stamped "S2162" (Syracuse, 21st week of 1962, I believe) in a yellow/black GM box dated Feb. 1962.

The NOS Signal Stat "143" flasher in my photo was stamped "S2562" (Syracuse, 25th week of 1962, I believe) in a yellow/black GM box dated April 1962.

I also once owned a NOS Signal Stat "170" hazard flasher stamped "S086" (Syracuse, 8th week of 1966, I believe) and a used Signal Stat "170" flasher from a 1969 Camaro with a "T488" (Toronto, 48th week of 1968) date code.

              Re: TUNG-SOL Flasher

GM # 3758682 (AP373V) appears in the following Chevrolet parts catalogs: 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968 and 1969 (Oct. 1968) and in May 1969 was replaced with GM # 9771091 as per Chevrolet Parts History. The applications are as follows:
59 Pass.; 60 Impala, Nomad; 61-62 Impala (exc. S.W.); 61-63 Corvette; and 63 Impala. It was only used on 1959-1963 Chevrolet models.

The alleged date codes so far are as follows: "H119", "H661", "H681", and "H362", and "H662".
              "H362" was from a 62 Chevrolet Impala.

It seems to me that the last number might represent the year but the first two numbers do not make any sense to me. The first two numbers can not be the week of the year or the month and day of the year. Any ideas?

              Dave

                  Kevin,

The "H101" is new to me but I have seen the "H862".

I would say that your "143" flasher was made in Toronto during the 6th week of 1967.
