    Top Gear USA

Did anyone see the new episode of Top Gear USA that aired on Sunday on the History Channel? There was a great segment on the ZR1 beating a Ferrari 458 Italia on a road course. Very cool.

Also in this segment were about 5 Corvettes of various years shown driving down a desert road. Our local club, the Santa Clarita Valley Corvette Club (SCVCC) participated on this shoot. My 54 was first, then another NCRS Guy Jim Fulmer with his red 57 Fuelie, and others. The episode is called "first cars".

'Saw it. The guy driving the Corvette didn't know how to launch the car. The SCVCC Corvettes looked good with great photography. I prefer the Brit version of the show.

I agree. Only Tanner Foust is the pro driver amongst the three. Why didn't they hire all pro racers for this show?

They came to the North Wilkesboro Speedway last year? two years ago? What a bunch of arrogant jerks. They used and abused everyone that was involved locally.

My company did some electrical work on a house in "Extreme Makeover, Home Edition" and it was the same thing. They used up everybody they came in contact with and gave nothing back. Never again - I'll be ready for them next time!

The UK version of Top Gear on BBC America is much better...to me the US version is almost unwatchable....

Well somebody finally said it! The hosts of Top Gear USA are weenies. I've tried to watch the show several times but I can't get all of the way through it. It's pretty poor, as car shows go. The British version offers much more. Even with Jeremy Clarkson constantly bashing everything American (he owns a Corvette, by the way), the show is still far superior.
