I am in the middle of wiring a 67 coupe with power glide which has (2) #12 PPL wires coming from the neutral safety switch along with the (2) wires for the back up lights. According to the Elect. Front Lighting & Eng. Compartment diagram the 2 PPL wires interconnect with the #12PPL wires in front of the window wiper motor which go to the starter sol. and the ignition switch. These are directly connected now as on the 4spd model. Is it my understanding that I would disconnect the direct connection and hook up the 2 wires from the neut. safety switch at this point? If you would like I can email a diagram of this but I guess that you would already have this information available. Thank you. Alan

You're correct ... the NSS is put in series by opening the two connectors on the (14 GA) purples adjacent the firewall, then connecting them to the 12 GA conductors on the NSS harness. The backup light function stays inside under the dash in the vicinity of the radio where it picks up a 2-connection plug with 90* orientation for the green/gray wires.Last edited by Jeff S.; December 7, 2011, 08:11 PM.- Top
